This is my last effort to get it going then I’m out of ideas, 4 weeks later But then when I rebooted the install wouldn’t stick (if that makes sense) I would be really great full if you could help me out and point me in the right direction for the installation of 8.7 Now, I followed your instructions in French and google translate and got as far as editing the. I am on a 2914 MacBook Pro dual boot with Mac osx. I have had trouble trying to get this config working. Any guesses why it works but the Rocky image freezes the system? I have a really nice 2011 quad core i7 mini server that Apple won’t support any more, and sure would love to get Rocky to run on it. It shows up as WINDOWS in the mini’s list of bootable devices, and selecting it boots into the Security Onion installer. For another test, I took a second 16 gig flash disk identical to the first and wrote the Security Onion 2.3.52 ISO onto it, same method as before. The flash disk booted a Dell laptop into the installer without issue. I plug it into the mini and held the option key and when the list of boot devices came up, the flash disk showed up as EFI_boot. I took a three pack of identical 16 gig flash disks and used Balena Etcher for macOS to write the Rocky 8.4 ISO onto one of them. I am trying to repurpose some old Mac mini hardware orphaned by Apple, a 2011 model with 2.5 GHz i5, 4 gigs memory, and 500 gig disk for starters. Not being a maccie and being very interested in this thread…is ARD something like VNC or terminal services and is there a license requirement for it? and from your main machine can you connect to one to many type setups? any info or light you can shed would help… i’ll go to apple and look anyways but the more info the better.I was a CentOS user from the days of 5.1, using old Dell server hardware. I can even put them to sleep from ARD with a click of the mouse. As soon as I got them ready, I plugged everything back into the G5, and run everything on the minis from ARD. However, upon setting the minis up for the first time, I did unplug the monitor, keyboard, and mouse from my G5 and hooked them up to each mini, as I prepped them for the farm. And despite what I heard as well, OSX launches the GUI whether there is a monitor attached or not. Simon No monitor or keyboards necessary! Apple Remote Desktop 3 works fantastic. Check back here, and I’ll try and post some actual CineBench data. Nycl45 I’ll certainly keep you posted on my results. In happier news, the mini rendered nearly as many frames (23) as my G5 dual 2ghz (24). So, first of all, are there any ways around this? any way to dial in a super “seed #” or something to get them synched up?Īnd, since I suspect the answer to that is no – would it work to set up an “intel farm” and a separate “ppc” farm on the same lan and just split jobs up that way? Hmmm … I just ran in to this issue – added an intel Mini to my little farm, rendered a scene with hair-generated grass, and wouldn’t you know it, the intel frames had the grass bent in different directions than the PPC frames. In the past this was no problem since Apple was synonym with PowerPC CPU systems, but now we have to make the precise differentiation between CPUs and not OS. This has nothing to do with the operating system. The culprit is not random numbers but different rounding errors between x86 and Power PC CPUs.

Session Limits can be overridden on GeForce and Quadro Cards Please make sure the card has enough VRAM for this. This can be a tricky setup, a more sturdy option choose a Quadro Card with no session limits. Session Limits can be overridden in Windows. Without an attached monitor, a GTX 970 with a max draw of 145w will draw about 80w with 100% NVDEC to NVENC transcoding. HEVC NVDEC on this card supports 720FPS meaning a HEVC to h.264 workload would yield a transcode of 720FPS, 60FPS better than h.264 to h.264. Unsupported CODEC) can allow this card to NVENC over the NVDEC limit. Input streams lower than 1080p or that do not use NVDEC (eg. Using a “high quality” profile the GTX 1070 supports NVENC FPS, you will see improved image quality and smaller encoded streams while still reaching the 658 throughput. Taking into account that you need to decode the same FPS as you encode let’s look at the GTX 1070 It supports NVENC FPS but only NVDEC FPS, this would mean 658 is the maximum throughput with a “single pass” encoding profile, not the full 1262 FPS. Some cards have either multiple NVENC chips or multiple Graphics chips each containing an NVENC chip. See “ Streams for VRAM” for more precise usage. This calculation is based on to per stream. Maximum streams to maintain live streams without buffering pauses based on FPS of chipset and VRAM available. Pascal & to SD to 720p to to to to to to to Plex Streams See “ Recommended Plex Streams” and “ Exceeding VRAM” for stream buffering issues. “Streams for VRAM” is how many Plex Streams will fit in VRAM at any one time, this figure is based on to per stream. Choose a card with enough VRAM to avoid this. The Plex Client will need to stop the play request and request it again once VRAM usage has dropped. Exceeding VRAMĮxceeding the VRAM usage will cause new transcodes to buffer indefinitely, even once VRAM has dropped below the maximum. See “ Recommended Plex Streams” for more information. This card will be under 128% Load to deliver 16 streams causing buffering but could deliver 12 streams at 96% load. NVDEC being the smaller FPS we take 16x FPS equals 480 FPS, more than the NVDEC can process. For example Quadro K2200 4GB model can NVDEC FPS and NVENC FPS and fit a maximum 16 transcodes in its 4GB VRAM. VRAM Stream Card LoadĬard load is calculated from the smallest of the “NVENC FPS” and “NVDEC FPS” then divided by “Streams for VRAM” combined FPS to provide card. It looks like a 128Bit memory bus will not cause performance issues with multiple transcodes but will see Plex offline “Sync” jobs only able to use 30% of the NVDEC chip. The difference between the 128Bit, 192Bit and 256Bit Memory bandwidth needs further testing. A 256Bit GTX 970 4GB (Maxwell 2 nd Gen) can hit 100% NVDEC saturation (376FPS) with a single stream. Two streams hold about 50%, Three about 80% and more than four streams to reach 100% NVDEC saturation. Preliminary testing sees a single NVDEC job on a 128Bit GTX 1050 Ti 4GB (Pascal) unable to use more than 30% (112 FPS) of the NVDEC. *VDPAU nVidia PureVideo Information VRAM Bandwidth *NVENC FPS based on Single Pass quality profile. To define this relationship, three database tables are needed: users, roles, and role_user. So, a user has many roles and a role has many users. For example, a user may be assigned the role of "Author" and "Editor" however, those roles may also be assigned to other users as well. An example of a many-to-many relationship is a user that has many roles and those roles are also shared by other users in the application. Many-to-many relations are slightly more complicated than hasOne and hasMany relationships. The fifth argument is the local key, while the sixth argument is the local key of the intermediate model: The fourth argument is the name of the foreign key on the final model. The third argument is the name of the foreign key on the intermediate model. If you would like to customize the keys of the relationship, you may pass them as the third and fourth arguments to the hasManyThrough method. Typical Eloquent foreign key conventions will be used when performing the relationship's queries. After finding the relevant environment IDs, they are used to query the Deployment model's table. To retrieve these models, Eloquent inspects the project_id column on the intermediate Environment model's table. Though the Deployment model's table does not contain a project_id column, the hasManyThrough relation provides access to a project's deployments via $project->deployments. The first argument passed to the hasManyThrough method is the name of the final model we wish to access, while the second argument is the name of the intermediate model. This closure will be responsible for adding additional publish date constraints to the relationship query: In addition, a closure will be provided as the second argument to the ofMany method. To accomplish this, we must pass an array to the ofMany method that contains the sortable columns which determine the latest price. In addition, if two prices have the same published date, we will prefer the price with the greatest ID. So, in summary, we need to retrieve the latest published pricing where the published date is not in the future. In addition, new pricing data for the product may be able to be published in advance to take effect at a future date via a published_at column. For example, A Product model may have many associated Price models that are retained in the system even after new pricing is published. It is possible to construct more advanced "has one of many" relationships. Because PostgreSQL does not support executing the MAX function against UUID columns, it is not currently possible to use one-of-many relationships in combination with PostgreSQL UUID columns. Eloquent makes managing and working with these relationships easy, and supports a variety of common relationships: For example, a blog post may have many comments or an order could be related to the user who placed it.
Shapes make their own layers but paths are independent. Be sure you have a separate layer for it if it is just a path. You shouldn't have to open the paths palette, but I like to keep it open when I'm working with paths. It will ask you to use a tool such as pencil or brush, so set your pixel width, color, and opacity first. Using stroke path, you have to make sure the work path is selected/highlighted. I look forward to seeing what you’ll create with this new skill in your creative toolbelt. You should be able to do this either by stroke path, edit>stroke (if you have made the shape a selection), or by making the color filled shape and setting fill to 0 (fill is at the top of the layers palette just below opacity). If you’ve got any other techniques, tricks, or tips regarding rounding corners in Photoshop feel free to share them in the comments. Job well done! Rounding corners properly in Photoshop can be confusing to attempt without the right information or techniques, but using the Rectangle Tool and Layering Masks we can make quick work of it. Once this is done, we can click OK and your image will be exported with the transparency intact and available for you to use! Conclusion This will bring up a window where you’ll be prompted to name your file and choose a location to save it on your computer. To find this, navigate to File > Export > Export as PNG. In order to export your image with the transparency intact, you’ll need to choose PNG from the export list. All that’s left to do is Export your image accordingly. As you can see, you’ll have nice rounded corners and a transparent background with the layer mask enabled. Great! Your image should look similar to the one above. Once you’ve accomplished this, you’ll need to hold down on the Alt/Option key while clicking the Rectangle Layer to create a Layer Mask.ĭon’t forget to make sure you’ve got your Rectangle Layer below your image, and not above or the Layer Mask won’t work properly. All you’ll have to do is click and drag your rectangle across your image, covering it entirely as shown below. How to Round Corner of an Image in PhotoshopĪnother option involves choosing or downloading a pre-existing image and creating a transparent overlay or mask with the Rectangle Tool to create transparent rounded corners.Īfter loading your image into a new project, you’ll still need to utilize the Rectangle Tool to round the corners. With all the different ways you can approach creating and editing rounded corners, I’m confident you’ll have all the tools you need to create your own. It’s always a good idea to know how to approach a problem in several ways, and Photoshop provides us with many options to consider. You can also click and drag any of those nodules running along the corners and sides to resize your shape. You can click twice on your rectangle to bring up a quick edit window, which will allow us to change both the corner px and dimensions without having to navigate to the properties panel. There are a few other ways we can change the dimensions as well. When changing the px for your corners, the general rule is the higher the number, the more rounded the edges! I’m gonna stick with 56 px for this example. You can start with those Rounded Corners towards the bottom of the menu, and skip the rest if it suits you, but we can also change the color, line thickness, and dimensions here. There will be a Transformation and Appearance tab where you can edit further.Īs you can see, we have a myriad of options to work with! The most important ones, I’ve highlighted are. Once your shape has been made, a new property menu will become available. Step 2: Edit the Shape from the Properties Menu This can be edited afterward if necessary, so don’t worry too much about getting an exact dimension when you first create your shape. There’s also a small rectangle in the bottom right-hand corner that lets you see your exact dimensions before letting go and creating your shape. In this case, the Rectangle Tool will work perfectly well.Īfter selecting the Rectangle Tool, all you have to do is click and drag across your canvas until you’re satisfied with the width and length. There are lots of options when you open up the shape tools submenu, from making a custom shape to just a standard rectangle. Exporting Your Image with Round CornersĪlright! To get things started, you’re going to find your Shape Tool. How to Round Corner of an Image in Photoshop.Step 2: Edit the Shape from the Properties Menu. Henry James said: "Kipling strikes me personally as the most complete man of genius (as distinct from fine intelligence) that I have ever known." In 1907, at the age of 41, he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature, making him the first English-language writer to receive the prize, and its youngest recipient to date. Kipling was one of the most popular writers in the United Kingdom, in both prose and verse, in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. He is regarded as a major innovator in the art of the short story his children's books are classics of children's literature and one critic described his work as exhibiting "a versatile and luminous narrative gift". His poems include Mandalay (1890), Gunga Din (1890), The Gods of the Copybook Headings (1919), The White Man's Burden (1899), and If- (1910). Kipling's works of fiction include The Jungle Book (1894), Kim (1901), and many short stories, including The Man Who Would Be King (1888). Medieval and Romanesque architecture, country walks, traditional artisanry a perfect place to relax. Mild coastal department blessed with many Romanesque fishing ports and resorts. Pastoral landscape of dairy farms and vineyards, and the home of cognac. If joie de vivre really exists, you'll find it here. Local life is shaped by strong traditions, fine wine and hearty cooking, and you won't lack opportunities for surfing or cycling either. Lazy river valleys, sunflower fields, pine forests and vineyards share the stage with tumbling hill towns, rocky promontories and rustic farmhouses. It is hard to generalise what is a genuinely diverse landscape that contains both mountain and beach, city and country, but at its heart this is la douce France at its softest and sweetest. Though centred on the refined city of Bordeaux, the region is predominantly rural, with sweeping agricultural vistas lying comfortably between sleepy villages and market towns. It stretches from the Spanish border and Pyrenees in the south, to the Loire Valley 500 km to the north, and from the Atlantic coastal sands in the west to the Massif Central in the east. Today, the Périgord is divided into four parts: the Périgord vert (green Périgord) in the north which is covered with holm oaks and chestnut trees, the Périgord blanc (white Périgord) in the centre is named after its cereal fields on limestone soils, the Périgord rouge (red Périgord) in the southwest represents the colour of its vine leaves in autumn and finally the Périgord noir (black Périgord) in the south with its dark oak forests.Nouvelle-Aquitaine (Occitan: Nòva Aquitania, Basque: Akitania Berria, Poitevin-Saintongeais: Novéle-Aguiéne all mean New Aquitaine in English) is the largest region of France. The Dordogne is both a river and a department in Aquitaine. You may also see it referred to as Périgord, which is the historic name of the area. It’s know for its pitoresque medieval villages, prehistoric cave paintings, vineyards, and laid back country life. The Dordogne is a beautiful area in the southwest of France.
